Where We Come From

PhyleTec L.L.C. is born out of the Phyle family of companies. The Phyles have been helping companies maintain accurate inventories for over 30 years. During that time, we have learned a lot about what matters most to distribution and manufacturing companies. We started by building hardware for inventory data collection. Next, we added software components to help people integrate the data they collected into their enterprise inventory system.

Recognizing that we needed to evolve to the next level, a new generation of the Phyle family, led by Charles Phyle II, added a consulting practice to the family enterprise. Spurred by the consulting activities, we moved into reselling and implementing enterprise resource planning systems.

In 2002, we were approached by Xpedx, a Fortune 500 company, to develop a warehouse management system for internal use. Out of that project, PhyleTec was born. For several years, PhyleTec was developed and provided exclusively to Xpedx, but in 2004, we began developing more diverse capabilities in order to make PhyleTec a full-fledged enterprise system. In 2005, we began offering PhyleTec to selected distributors.

Over the last several years, PhyleTec, fueled by the advanced technology used to develop it and the creativity of our community, has expanded to include dozens of modules including manufacturing, CRM and a web storefront. We are proud of the accomplishments of our team and the relationships that we've built. We look forward to growing the PhyleTec community through dedication and hard work.
