Lots of people are adding wireless technology to their warehouses. Data collection devices have gotten less costly and there is better software to collect data amidst the physical activities that take place in a busy warehouse. Because people now have wireless devices at home, they mistakenly think that they can stick these devices in their warehouse and expect similar results. Eventually, they find out this doesn't work. Wireless networks must be properly engineered to ensure optimal coverage, performance and reliability. Security is also an issue when sensitive corporate data is at stake.
